Background
SG Survey provides worldwide expertise across private yachts and commercial shipping. Their core service is a comprehensive range of surveys and inspections, handled by a highly experienced global team. Surveyors manage everything from supervising super yacht builds to conducting compliance checks on shipping containers.
Problem
SG Survey relied on manual processes that often caused delays, introduced errors, and impacted compliance reporting. This slowed down client service and made coordinating their global team harder than it needed to be. They needed a secure, structured digital system to support a faster, more reliable workflow.
Solution
V88 developed a suite of three connected applications on the Glide platform. Surveyors use a mobile app to record inspection details, complete with images to highlight defects or non-compliance issues. Clients have a secure portal where they can view completed surveys within minutes and download reports as PDFs for use in other systems. The admin team in the UK office work through a web portal to check the survey data, add notes when needed, and manage client access quickly and safely.
Result
Surveyors now complete inspections faster and more accurately by selecting standard options from pick lists, adding clear comments and images to highlight issues as they go. Clients receive real-time updates when a survey is finished, can review full details instantly, and export reports to feed into other systems. The admin team always has a live view of surveys in progress and can spot trends to help prevent repeat issues. They also control client access easily, providing a smooth, responsive service that boosts client satisfaction.
